These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AbogadoOnCall applications, website, and services (the "Platform"). By creating an account, booking a consultation, or registering as a lawyer, you agree to these Terms.
1. Platform Role
AbogadoOnCall is a technology marketplace that connects clients with independent lawyers and law firms. AbogadoOnCall is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Legal services are provided solely by licensed professionals listed on the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement. Lawyers must hold valid credentials and comply with applicable professional regulations in the Philippines.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
4. Bookings and Payments
- Consultation fees are set by lawyers or law firms and displayed before booking
- Payments may be processed through the Platform wallet or approved payment methods
- Cancellation and refund rules follow the booking status and applicable platform policies
- AbogadoOnCall may charge service or platform fees as disclosed at checkout
5. Lawyer Registration and Approval
Self-registered lawyers may be subject to admin review before appearing publicly on the Platform. AbogadoOnCall may approve, suspend, or remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable law.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
- Upload malware or unauthorized content
- Circumvent platform fees or booking systems
- Misrepresent professional qualifications or identity
7. No Attorney-Client Relationship with AbogadoOnCall
Using the Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship with AbogadoOnCall. Such a relationship exists only between the client and the chosen lawyer, subject to their agreement.
8. Disclaimer
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee specific legal outcomes. Lawyers are solely responsible for the advice and services they provide.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AbogadoOnCall shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform or consultations arranged through it.
10. Intellectual Property
All Platform software, branding, and content (excluding user-generated and lawyer profile content) are owned by AbogadoOnCall and may not be copied without permission.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Platform at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in the Philippines, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
